I have to say that I have not been the best blogger in the last few months. Will you forgive me? Please oh please? I have a few projects I am going to launch within the next couple of months… and I have been working oh sooo hard and traveling a bit too…The good news is that I have sketched out a better schedule for the late fall and winter for some better blog posting time. AHH I can’t wait. I really love being a part of a GREAT online community. And I really miss my interactions with all you guys.
I haven’t done this in a while, so hopefully you all have built up some questions. ASK A QUESTION IN THE COMMENT SECTION!! I will visit back to this post often to answer any questions you may have. So ask away. And I would love it if others chimed in with answers too.

I think I remember you saying you went to art school? I just started and was wondering if you had any advice?
P.S. Love your pretty blog!
August 28th, 2010 at 5:42 pm
Kara- thanks! LOVE that you are going to art school. My BIGGEST advice would be to do every project/assignment with the mentality that you want to use it for your portfolio. I went about every project like that in school… and it REALLY pushed me to do my very best work. Therefore, it made me stand out from the other students. I don’t have any projects from school in my portfolio now, but it really helped me when i got started.
August 28th, 2010 at 5:47 pm
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
and..I’m going to be a little greedy with another one..
What inspires you the most?
August 28th, 2010 at 5:57 pm
Hey Promise!
What kinds of programs do you use to achieve your editing style? And what advice do you have for finding and settling into a specific style as a photographer? Sorry so many questions! I love your work, you are definitely an inspiration of mine!
August 28th, 2010 at 6:07 pm
Judith- Woahh greedy one. hha. jk.
1. If God’s plan for my life is the following… then this is what i hope for: I will be excited and madly in love with my husband, i will have a couple of kids, i will always be a driven, creative, career woman with lots of ideas. I hope to, in some way, be a creative encouragement for others.
2. What inspires me the most.. is the combination of style and functionality. whether its photography, graphic design, business, marketing, or art.. I LONG for the feeling and curiosity of “will this work?… “will this idea, pulled with this idea, work for what i am going for?”. I get most inspired by problem solving and OTHER people’s dreams, and inspirations for the own business. I love creative thinking and planning. sorry thats all really random.
August 28th, 2010 at 6:12 pm
Ashley! In my photography my first and BIGGEST goal is to take flattering photos of the person. what is the best angle, expression, etc for that person? then my second thought is… okay, now that they look GORGEOUS, how can i make the photograph more dynamic? (by adding different angles, looking through stuff, cropping and framing. etc.
My opinion is that you should NOT have to CHOOSE what style you have… but just focus on taking flattering photographs of people in a creative way. Your style will develop over time without you knowing it. The more work you have… the more someone can tell they were all taken by you. Make sense? having a “style” that is you, should not be the focus… it’s the by-product.
August 28th, 2010 at 6:15 pm
oh and i use photoshop to edit with actions. I recommend the following for photographers:
1. adobe Lightroom
2. actionrunner
3. formula one actions.
August 28th, 2010 at 6:31 pm
Who do you look up to? Who inspires you as a role model?
August 28th, 2010 at 6:32 pm
HI Promise, I just starting following your blog and I love and admire your work. I graduated in May with a BFA in graphic design and have been doing photography for about 4 years on and off. Now, it is so hard to find a FT job as a designer, and photography is also slow. Have a few logo design gigs, so that’s something at least for now. So my question is, how did you set your prices for design and photo work after you were done with school? and how often did you raise them. Some people undervalue design work and see it as “easy to make”. I just want to be successful at both careers and would like some advice. Thanks a lot!
August 28th, 2010 at 6:33 pm
Hi Promise!
I love your #1 answer to Judith!!!
I am at the beginning of a re-branding (after many years), including a name change… What do you think is the most important thing to start with? Especially if you can’t afford to do it all at once? Website? Blog? Print? Something else altogether? ( I am a floral & event designer).
(p.s. met your sister a few weeks ago… so sweet and talented)
August 28th, 2010 at 6:44 pm
Promise, Love LOVE that you are doing this! Believe me, you are a much better blogger than I have been!
My question: I fill like I am stuck in the middle. I know that I have the talent and the end product (photography) to move up, but I don’t know how to get there. Any advice on how to go from little miss amateur to pro??
One more… My husband and I love being together. He also loves photography, mostly the technical side. We really want to start doing this together, but right now we need his income… and advice on that?
Thanks a mill!
August 28th, 2010 at 6:54 pm
this isn’t art really related, but what’s been your favorite thing about being married? are you and brian going to collaborate on anything anytime soon?
August 28th, 2010 at 6:59 pm
I have a random question
– Since coming back to the dark side
(brunette), how do you maintain the colour? I find going light to dark, hair doesn’t hold the colour as it should, and in a week or so, it’s all washed out, and I’m back to light again. And – your self portraits, like the one at the top, are all very cute. Who takes them? Is your husband a closet talent???
August 28th, 2010 at 7:50 pm
So sweet of you to do a Q & A!
So, I was wondering… going waaay back for you I’m sure, haha, but how did you initially launch yourself as a photographer? with classes… or learning by experience… etc? I would love to take my photography more seriously… and am not sure how!
I really enjoy your blog, and so look forward to your answer!
August 28th, 2010 at 8:06 pm
UHLEE!!! i am yet to find a designer or artist that i look up to and admire completely. But I LOVE Jasmine Star for her marketing concepts, love of life, relationship with her husband, business sense, and faith in God. I think she is an extremely successful unique individual with a passion to help and inspire people. I also love David Jay, her mentor. HE is such a knowledgeable and giving person. Both of them are paving the way, and a living example of what it’s like to love others and be in business.
August 28th, 2010 at 8:18 pm
angela-
Honestly when i started in graphic design i took whatever they could give me. If they liked my work… and were interested in having me brand them or do designs for them I WAS IN!! building a portfolio was important to me… and getting paid a little was great too. Honestly pricing as a designer is trial and error. i wish i had my pricing sheets from a couple of years ago to give you… but i don’t. your main focus is to DESIGN and get experience for a while. post your work online… and you will look busy. if you look busy, people see you as desirable and want to hire you too. i hope this helps!
TARA-
YOUR WEBSITE IS VERY IMPORTANT!!
WEBSITE, then strong solid logo (not trendy), start a FREE blog on wordpress or blogspot and make sure you are posting new work. then get business cards
APRIL-
What is “PRO” to you? Pro is a by-product of your hard work.. it’s debatable. It’s not something you strive to be. Are you getting work? is your schedule booking up? Then the rest will fall in place. Don’t jump ahead of yourself. if you are asking how to get more work… THEN POST AND TAG YOUR CLIENTS ON FACEBOOK!! This is key, because all your clients friends will see the work you did. don’t skip this. and for you and your husband book book book. tag on facebook. the nice thing about wedding photography is that you book far in advance, like years. So if you book enough, he might be able to quit.
August 28th, 2010 at 8:32 pm
CARISSA-
seriously! I could not ask for a better partner in life. I look up to him SOOO much. He is literally my hero and the love of my life. He IS the love in my life. and between you and me, we are exploring the idea of cooking something up together.
we are very excited.
My favorite thing about being married is waking up in the morning and realizing we are holding hands.
ANNIE-
you are sweet. i had my hair colored by a hair stylist… not by a box. I dont know if that would make a difference or not. I was excited when mine started fading a little. I love the LIGHT brown look. and the nice thing about having talented creative friends.. is that they need models for things. haha. Brian, my hubby doesnt do to much photo taking. This one was Maile Knight Wilson from Epiphanie Bags. She is AWESOME!
AMANDA-
They talk about how to relate to your clients, how to market, booking shoots, directing your clients at a shoot, editing photos, and workflow. SOOO helpful.
check out this post. I posted my very first photos and what i did. http://www.promisetangemanblog.com/resources/q-a-including-my-very-first-photos
But i would recommend not schooling…. but WORKSHOPS!! find your favorite photographers and sign up for their workshops… there are sooooo many great workshops out there now.
August 28th, 2010 at 9:08 pm
Hey Promise! Ooooo where do I start? I love love love your work and style and I think you’re just adorable all around! I have so many questions for you! First off, I’m breaking into the wedding photography business and I’m wondering how you gained trust from your first couple of clients? If you don’t have A LOT to show someone how do you convince them your final product is going to be worth hiring you for? Does that makes sense? And also, I’m young…how do I gain the respect of potential clients? I live in a small town with a bunch of “traditional” photographers, but they’ve been in the business for 20 plus years so everyone thinks they have the upper hand….
August 28th, 2010 at 10:46 pm
When is your next workshop?
August 28th, 2010 at 11:02 pm
When can my wife expect to be an aunt?
August 29th, 2010 at 1:32 am
I adore your creativity and all the different types of art you create. I’m sure you have plenty of friends that have the same kinds of talent. Do you have any suggestions for other blogs to follow that have the same feel as yours?
August 29th, 2010 at 6:49 am
I’m going to ask a shallow fluffy question, hope you don’t mind
– how do you do your hair so beautiful?! I love it – it’s big (mine is thin and flat – I’m a bit jealous lol) and you usually do something interesting with it in your photos, clipping it in different ways and stuff
So maybe you could do a few tutorials for different ways to do your hair – or just give us some tips/info on how you generally do your hair in the mornings..? Thanks Promise!
August 29th, 2010 at 8:39 am
ummm…here is my question..i got my degree in business..but i want to change paths and get ito graphic design…i’ve always loved it..anything design, i love…but i chose to be practical instead of following my heart…so now what do i do? take classes…online tutorials…school, like four year degree…any advice..i lou, luv, luv your style..design..website , blog….i am 34…is it too late?
August 29th, 2010 at 9:41 am
I am wondering what it is in your hair in the picture above. I love your outfit all together, but I would really like to know what that cute thing is in your hair !
August 29th, 2010 at 9:54 am
I know this is a superficial question…but I love your work and you always seem to look absolutely GORGOEOUS! How do you keep such a cute figure, great skin, and amazing hair?
Thanks!
August 29th, 2010 at 10:28 am
Plain and simple–whats in your camera bag?
August 29th, 2010 at 11:32 am
Hi Promise! I admire the feel of your photos so much! I saw some of your pictures in Mexico of my friend, gorgeous! I was wondering what kind of equipment you use, I love that sharp look of the eyes you catch.
August 29th, 2010 at 11:43 am
Hey promise! I absolutely love your art work–especially the pieces where you combine photos, paint, and design. I was just wondering how you go about putting something like that together. I would love to try it sometime considering I’m a photographer and painter!
August 29th, 2010 at 11:52 am
Hey Promise!
Here is my question. What is your favorite lens to shoot with and your favorite photoshop actions to use?
August 29th, 2010 at 12:11 pm
Hey there Promise. I just always feel so excited for you when I come here…or when i look at your portfolio. One of those “free” & “fresh” feelings!
And…..I’ve been married for 12 years, have 2 kids and 2 dogs…..so, I love hearing your love for your husband and how you support eachother….a blessing for sure! You go girl.
No question, I guess. Just a ‘thank you’ for your encouragement about my showit site project. finally got it up (and looking forward to seeing what you’re cooking up for them).
All the best.
August 29th, 2010 at 12:34 pm
one more question:
im in the market for a good camera, Olympus cameras are so cute with the silver body and black lens but i always see photographers use Canons. i know you have a lot of experience with cameras so what is your favorite? i think you use canon but have you tried olympus?
August 29th, 2010 at 12:49 pm
hey promise, one more question
im in the market for a nice camera. i notice that pretty much all photographers use Canon, but what are your thoughts on Olympus? have you ever used it? is Canon your favorite one to use?
August 29th, 2010 at 1:30 pm
Promise, I was wondering when do you think the best time of the day to photograph is? I’m actually taking a photography class in school and I’m so excited to learn new things. I’m also going to start photographing more so that should be fun. Can’t wait to hear from you!
August 29th, 2010 at 2:00 pm
blahgg! ive commented on this a billion times, haha i didnt mean to post the relatively same question twice! i thought the first one didnt post.
this is my last comment, i swear! haha.
August 29th, 2010 at 2:15 pm
WOW i have a lot to catch up on… I will be back soon to answer these. I love the questions.
August 29th, 2010 at 2:42 pm
hey Promise! Came and saw you when you spoke in DC on the Showit tour but never had a chance to ask you this question… I was wondering your take on being both a photographer and a graphic designer, and your thoughts on keeping those worlds together or separate in your online portfolio. I majored in both in school, and am currently working part time as a wedding photographer at a local studio and freelance design/other photo projects. I love how your site includes all of your creative endeavors, and am working on this in the building of my new personal website. What things did you consider when it came to selecting what went into your portfolio? Did you ever have a fear that marketing yourself in several different fields of art would be confusing to potential clients? thanks so much for your input
August 29th, 2010 at 4:11 pm
If I marry a rich man, can I hire you to help with my wedding? And maybe as a personal style consultant? Or if I don’t marry a rich man, would you consider doing pro-bono work for a budding abolitionist?
August 29th, 2010 at 7:13 pm
promise:
ditto the hair question. i have huge potential for it to look like yours (!), think i have the same cut, but would LOVE a fun tutorial for how much product, how you blow dry, etc. maybe just a quick list of your essential “products” like which styling products and round brush (!?) so shallow, but i’m crazy about that hair of yours!!
August 29th, 2010 at 8:33 pm
Rachel-
I hope this helps.
First off. THAT IS GREAT that you are in a small town with a lot of old dog photographers. that gives you a GREAT chance to really make a name for yourself. I would suggest doing a few “day after shoots” by asking some of your friends that recently got married if you could do a free shoot and give them the photos. this will help you get the work you want for your portfolio without the stress of a wedding day. Then your potential clients can really see what your potential is.
Daniel-
maybe someday i will make up something to have a workshop about.
hahaa
haha I have never had a workshop.
TROY-
UHhh hahahhaaa. maybe in a few years.
SANDRA-
here are a few: abeautifulmess.typepad.com, bleubirdvintage.typepad.com, nubbytwiglet.com, alreadybeenchewed.net, skunkboycreatures.blogspot.com
embarrassingly i have to admit that i have been so swamped with projects that i haven’t gotten to browse the internet as usual. I will let you know when i come across some fun new creative blogs.
Drummbellina-
i use bed head hairspray.
more on that coming soon.
haha. that is funny. I have been meaning to do a hair post for a while… but I’m just to embarrassed. i hope to do it soon. I have naturally really thick, course hair… it sometimes feels like a hay stack. haha. With some smoothing serum, a curling iron, and a comb (for some backcombing for the roots) I am usually good to go.
August 29th, 2010 at 9:02 pm
CHRISTY-
not to late not to late not to late. Never to late to do what you love. Start doing projects. make up stuff. go pick products off the shelf and re-design the packaging for them… whatever you have to do. get some work up online. there are huge needs right now for branding and design in the small business world. So, there are LOT of opportunities. I think schooling really helped refine my passion, etc. So I would suggest taking a few coursed online, or at a jr. college. I am really excited for you. Lots of good stuff coming in the future.
LINDSAY C-
I sliced up a yellow bandana, and my hair girl weaved it through a braid for this particular photoshoot.
BIANCA-
although i have been getting some MAJOR dark eye circles from to much computer time. Yikes. I got a gym membership and I am working on getting a routine down to get my exercise on. haha. I LOVE power, and fitness yoga, cycling class, and any other classes. i find that i work a lot harder in a class than i would on my own. I use bed-head hair shampoo and products, and bare minerals makeup. I can get REALLY carried away with my projects and forget to take care of myself…. so i have really been trying to balance things out recently.
You are soooo sweet.
AMY-
epiphanie camera bag. Canon 5d mark 2, favorite lens: 35 mm – F/1.4 canon EF, a few sandisk 8gb flash cards, and a few other uninteresting gadgets.
MEGAN-
Thanks so much. I would REALLY LOVE to do a tuturial on that. Its called “phototransfer”. there are a lot of tutorials online… although a lot of others have said they do not work. I am planning to do a post on my process. But its just a lot of work. I hope to do it soon though.
GABRIEL-
magic marker, and flashlight exposure, vintage blue wash.
favorite lens: 35 mm – F/1.4 canon EF, favorite actions: formula one actions!!
JEN-
THank you thank you thank you. are you sooo sweet. congrats LOVELY site. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your home page concept. sooo great.
August 29th, 2010 at 9:05 pm
Kristina,
Thanks so much. I use a Canon 5d mark 2, favorite lens: 35 mm – F/1.4 canon EF
August 29th, 2010 at 9:19 pm
CARISSA-
it totally depends on what you are looking to do. Canons are a very professional camera. Professionals who are taking photos for a living usually use Nikon or Canon. and I choose Canon. If you just want to use the Olympus for fun, that is totally great. But i would recommend the canon for more professional quality.
TYLER-
I LOVE an hour or some before sunset. The light usually has a really pretty glow… and you can get really pretty sun flares behind the subjects head.
JENNI-
AHAH thats funny that you bring that up. David Jay and the showit team and I had some long conversations about that. It is a proven fact that narrow, and focused businesses succeed far above the “jack of all trades”. But i tend to think that photography and graphic design can go hand in hand in a lot of ways. I have been really fortunate to get to use them both interchangeably. To be honest i am really in between thoughts on what i think about this. Can i get back to you later when i am wiser and more experienced? hhaa.
MICHELLE!!
haha you are funny.
MICA-
I will have to do a hair post soon. just for you. to be honest A lot of the “BIG” is natural. its naturally really dry and course. I use bed head stuff. TIGI after party, manipulator, TIGI root boost, Pssst dry shampoo, bed head hairspray.
August 29th, 2010 at 10:15 pm
Hey Promise! A couple more questions!
After watching all this Jasmine Star wonderfulness on Creative Live, I’m really ready to brand myself and bring my business to where I imagine it to be!! Jasmine mentioned using three words to describe your work. What are your three words? I know for me, I’m so eclectic with everything in my life I can’t pick! How do I brand myself when I’m all over the board?
August 30th, 2010 at 4:35 am
Hey Promise! First of all: I love your work and your blog! I come from the Netherlands! So, don’t forget you also have fans in my country
. My question was: Did you ever thought of using a Nikon camera? And what do you think of Nikon cameras?
Greetings from the Netherlands!
August 30th, 2010 at 4:38 am
Hey Promise,
I’m a huge fan of Jasmine Star AND you! Jasmine is so wonderful in business and branding and YOU are so wonderful in creative graphic design! I LOOVVVEE!! I admire you both!
I’m an interiorarchitect and since 3years i’m doing some photography (eveningclasses, some projects, …) I want to shoot kids (toddlers, teens & their families) and some interiors as well.
Starting as an amateur I use a canon 450D, some extra lenses and a tripod.
Now I want to do my current job part-time so I can spend more time into my photography, so the next thing I want to do (beside branding and stuff) is to buy some extra material.
So my question is:
I’m looking for some light equipement, but can’t decide what’s good for both ‘niches’.
What do you use during your shoots? What do you suggest, flash, softbox, reflectionpanel, …?
THANK YOUUUU!!
*greetings* from Belgium
PS: sorry if my english is bad :/
August 30th, 2010 at 5:13 am
It’s a tough issue to keep design/photo together or separate! I can definitely see both sides… I am glad to see you be successful at working and sharing both! Keep it up! Thanks for the input
August 30th, 2010 at 5:18 am
Promise! I have followed your blog a little over a year now and I have to say, when it comes to inspiration – you are one of my biggest. From your amazing attitude, spunk, style, but mainly your love of God & how it drives you. What a wonderful example for us all! My question – your design work is Amazing! What print company do you go through for processing? With so many shapes and different size prints, do you have one or several that you use?
August 30th, 2010 at 9:12 am
Hi Promise! My question is, how do you stay centered on your relationship with the Lord? I’m a special education teacher and I find myself “squeezing” in His word (sad, huh?). Do you have devos with your husband or do you have a daily devotion routine?
Thanks:)
August 30th, 2010 at 11:21 am
Hey Promise
I’m 17, and an incoming homschool senior. I’m thinking of going into photography on the side. Just wondering what type of camera you would suggest I get. And any books/websites that would be good starters.
Thanks!
August 30th, 2010 at 3:31 pm
Hey Promise!
I’m going to college for graphic design and (as you would know) I’m always doing multiple design projects at a time. As much as I love design, sometimes it just burns me out. I’m searching for new ways to get excited about design, and get out of my occasional grumpy ruts when it feels like a chore.
If you don’t want to spill your secrets I understand!
Thanks Promise.

August 30th, 2010 at 3:32 pm
(I meant to add this in my post above)
… Do you have a favorite designer, website or design magazine you check out if you have artists block?
August 30th, 2010 at 3:37 pm
…I meant to add in there…
As far as where you go to for artistic inspiration, do you have a favorite designer, website or design magazine you check out if you have artists block?
August 31st, 2010 at 11:29 am
Promise,
Love your website and blog. I’d love to have you redo our website when the time comes. = )
I have silly questions non-photography related.
1) Name a super power you’d like to have.
2) Name a super power which you wouldn’t want to have and feel it’s a burden.
3) If you could travel anywhere outside of the United States, where would you go, what would you see, and what would you be doing there.
Have a great day!
August 31st, 2010 at 1:56 pm
Promise,
When you are picking out your outfit for the day or for an event, what are the different elements that you try to incorporate and how do you know when it’s ‘complete’?
At what point in your career did things really start taking off? What are the 2 most important things that helped take your career to the next level?
Thanks!!! =)

Hey Promise!
What painting/piece of artwork would you say is your all time favourite?
Thanks
August 31st, 2010 at 4:10 pm
Hi Promise,
I was wondering what would you say is your favourite painting/piece of artwork? I’ll say Peter Doig’s ‘Blotter’ is my favourite but it does change depending on what mood I’m in. Thanks in advance
August 31st, 2010 at 4:44 pm
Hey Promise …
So, I’ve been a graphic designer for the last six years and recently launched an invitation business. I would really like to get into photography as a profession – well, more of an extension to my business – and I was wondering: how do you establish yourself at both, well? People tend to be weary of those who do too many things … jack of trades, master of none.
Also, great advice on shooting the day after! The pressure is off and could be a great time to have fun!
Thanks for letting us see what’s in your bag! Do you think a Nikon D40 is a good camera to start with? Any suggestions on lenses?
One more … LOL … when you go on shoots, do you have multiple lenses and switch out or multiple cameras for different shots? Do you have an assistant? What about flash … I find that I can’t get good images of people when they are moving when there is low light. Sorry, that was more than one
Thanks for all your time to answer everyone’s questions, I’m sure your super busy!!
August 31st, 2010 at 9:53 pm
hey promise!
so sometimes we get overloaded with work (or maybe not!)—how do you maintain yourself inspired, fresh and passionate about what you do?!
Thanks
September 1st, 2010 at 7:21 am
Hey Promise,
I have been shooting for a couple years but I am really trying to make the transistion to full time. How did you manage to make the leap and expand your client base? I am really searching for some great ideas to create a name for myself in photographic world and be different so that I stand out. Any ideas?
September 1st, 2010 at 6:10 pm
Hi Promise,
I was wondering where you get your products printed (like posters, business cards, and t-shirts)? Is it all from one place, or are there certain places you like best?
Thanks!
September 2nd, 2010 at 5:39 am
Hi!
I really dig your blog and love that you love Jesus! I am doing things a little untraditionally in that I am married with 2 children, 6 and 2 yrs old with one on the way, and also returning to school to finish my bachelors (photojournalism). Many of the blogs I love are by single or newly married women without children and My question is can you recommend any great blogs or inspiration by women that are balancing their creative endeavors while raising small children? I would love to hear how other women are doing it.
September 2nd, 2010 at 10:22 am
Promise, you already answered my question about who you look up to in life and just wanted to say i loved your answer, Jasmine star is simply an awesome person all around, she’s one of my favorites too.
I’m having a giveaway on my blog, spread the word!
Love your blog Promise, don’t ever stop blogging.
September 2nd, 2010 at 8:56 pm
Emilie…who just posted… I am also a married with children and I love the Lord. I’m excited to go to your blog and see what you are up to!
OK, Sorry Promise… I met you earlier this year and have since then been following your blog… I think you are AMAZING! Great job on Jasmine Star’s website! SO my questions:
1. What is THE ONE trait you feel helps you progress in your business?
2. Have you always been crazy artistic and creative or is it something learned? Can one learn these things?
Thanks!
September 3rd, 2010 at 2:11 pm
One question : Why do we not live closer to one another
?? You rock.
September 4th, 2010 at 1:55 am
Looking forward to seeing those hair tutorials! (don’t be shy!)
Also want to thank you for mentioning that “tag your work/clients on facebook” marketing tip – genius! I have never seen that tip before and I fell like I’ve read the entire internet on that subject lol. So I implemented it straight away with my custom handmade bags and will continue that practice. Thanks!!

Hey Promise! So I don’t know how to say this… but, I’m obsessed with your blog! I spent about a week thinking of what I would ask because I literally have that many questions for you:) I think you’re a really creative, open minded, and incredible lady! Anyways, I’ve noticed that you have the most amazing taste in music! So, I’m curious… If you were on a deserted island and could only listen to 5 bands/music artists who they be and why?

Hi Promise!
).
Troy shot my wedding over a year ago and I found you through his site. I’m not in the creative business, but I really enjoy reading your blog! Thanks for being so genuine and sharing your process and experiences with the rest of us-it’s refreshing to see the heart that you put into your work and what you say to your readers.
I have a very superficial question, but given the oppotunity to ask a question I just had to take it: what brand/where did you get those sandles that you are wearing in the photo for this post?!? I saw you had them on for another photo awhile ago and they just stuck out to me (does that ever happen to you?-oh, another question
Love your style,
Chelsi

So I think a three day workshop would be great. A day of photography, a day of design and a day of marketing/branding. In case you needed some ideas to get the ball rolling. Thanks for sharing your talent and wisdom on the blog. I guess that will have to do for now.
