ANNOUNCING AN EXCITING PROJECT + PREVIEW

WOOP WOOP!!!! UMMM so I just did my first video blog. YIKES!!! Might be kinda scary. So, sorry a head of time. AND I talk fast. Sorry again. Like I said in the video this was a really fun, fresh new project. It’s unlike anything I’ve done or worked on before. The magazine is Jasmine’s story…. kind of like a book in a magazine type of format. I learned so much reading this. I read it so many times in this process that I probably could recite the whole shabang to you. Jasmine shares personal stories, heartbreaking situations, embarrassing moments, and it’s JAM PACKED with really practical workflow advice, business tips, and ideas to consider and learn from. EVERY PAGE of the 160 pages is designed for your viewing pleasure. haha. I documented the design process through out the project, so I will be sharing that soon!! Enjoy.

OH BOY! We are SO excited to share our latest website design and branding project!

Gabriel Ryan Photographers came to us this year wanting branding and website redesign, and we couldn’t have been happier to work with one of the nicest and talented photographer duos out there -Gabriel and Carlie. They are extremely passionate for about what they do. And they have flawless taste. And their style and aesthetic is extremely important to them. That made designing their brand and site really fun. It was a true collaboration. I love the way their minds think.

CHRISTY TYLER WEBSITE RELEASE

Oh happy day! We’re SOOOO excited to share a flash showit website we’ve been working on for Christy Tyler Photography! This budding photographer straddles photography and a desk job like so many of you guys do, and Christy came to us wanting to take her business to the next level hoping that she can soon do photography full time. In fact, Christy recently had the opportunity to share her “double life” on CBS Evening News with Katie Couric (click here to watch the video). We, of course, had to make sure that her website looked awesome!

We’re also excited to introduce our friends Liz Grant (co-designer for this website) and Sarah Sandhaus (showit implementer). With all of our powers combined… we created this website…

Christy came to us needing new branding as well, so we started with that (we’ll have even more to show you in another post). You can see in her inspiration board that she loves yellow, white and gray, which is a very appealing and happy color scheme for potential clients. There are even a couple inspiration pieces from some of our favorite designers, Mae Mae Paperie and Nubbytwiglet.com. Christy is a really outgoing Chicago gal, and she wanted to make sure that her brand reflected that. She has a love of classic stores such as Banana Republic and Pottery Barn, so we made sure her logo encompassed more of a traditional vibe.

HOLLY HOYT PHOTOGRAPHY WEBSITE RELEASE

And we’re back!…I’m really excited to share our latest Showit flash website design project for Holly Hoyt Photography. Holly is a SUPER cool gal from Houston, Texas, and an ideal client for Promise Tangeman Creative (PTC) because she wanted something VERY different from common photography websites, and we LOVE a good challenge and thinking outside the box.

Holly has a HUGE love for typography, and she really wanted her clients to see her personality RIGHT off the bat. So, instead of focusing on the pictures for the home page, we created a FUN, whimsy and modern home page incorporating her fantastic branding that she had prior to working with us, typography,  her personality and CLEAR call to actions (points of action that you want the viewer to take) to her contact, information and guest book pages.

NEW WEBSITE RELEASE!!! VINTAGE VIEW STUDIO

I am excited to share this new project that I have been working on. AHH it always feels so great to release a project. Kara from Vintage View is SUPER unique and TOTALLY knew the vibe that she was going for. This girl is what I like to call a dream client. She did her research, sent me a TON of inspiration (i mean a TON), She knew the vibe she wanted, and she gave me total freedom to run with it and control to make executive decisions. There is a fine line between having the client know what they want.. and having the client dictate what they want. I LOVE it when a client knows the vibe of what they want… and gives me the freedom to GET CRAZY!! And that was totally Kara. and I believe it was a match made in Heaven.

I don’t always connect with my clients personal style, but i did with kara. She loves vintage mixed with modern. She loves eclectic textures and patterns that tell a story and have personality. ANd she likes to break the rules. PERFECT!!! From the moment i saw the direction Kara wanted to go, it clicked and i was hooked.

PROJECT SCOPE:
Kara came to me with a logo already designed (which was great)… and she wanted a website, and only a website. So i got to take her logo, and branding and really play with it and make it what it is. I LOVE the logo that she had so it made the experience so much more fun.
