I wanted to take a minute to post about a tour i got invited to speak on this summer. And we will most likely be coming your direction. Showit is a web software company that I work a lot with. And they are not only a software company… they are a really amazing community of people that i am so lucky to be a part of. They have a brand new product called Pass for photographers that they are launching on the tour and it should be an AMAZING time. I am speaking about branding, David Jay is debuting the new product, the Grays are talking about their amazing business as wedding photographers. Will be an epic night. oh.. and REALLY fun!!

ITS HERE!! The new 31Bits line “Haven”. Trever Hoehne did an amazing job on the photos! The shoot was so much fun and I LOOOVE all the pieces. I love that Summer Watkins put me in clothes that i would never pick out on my own. She’s talent. Stop over to Trever’s blog to see his post on this shoot. I was really honored to have been interview by Sarah from Siren Magazine. I love the magazine and the topics she is covering. Its pretty cool!! I thought it was going to the be the typical interview… but she asked some really interesting questions and i really enjoyed answering them. Some of them were: If you couldn’t be an artist, what would you do? Does your faith/belief system affect the way you run Promise Tangeman Creative? If you could swap wardrobes with one celebrity, who would it be? What is your guilty pleasure? And this one is really interesting: Some say the church is not creative enough, while others say the church is too focused on aesthetic (with fog machines, elaborate sets, etc.). How do you feel the church is doing creatively, and why is this important?
This past week was so much fun. Brian and I were in California for Catalyst west Coast. Brian did some interviewing backstage for Catalystbackstage.com. and one of the days I snuck off to do a photoshoot for the jewelry company called 31 bits. IT WAS SOO MUCH FUN! Each piece of the 31 bits jewelry is handmade by one of 63 women in Uganda, using 100% recycled paper and other local materials. 31 Bits is committed to working with each woman until she has graduated from their program and attained a sustainable means of income within her own community. They recently joined forces with Reef and supply beads for their sandals. AMAZING!!
The photoshoot was so professional, fun, and entertaining. The 31Bits girls have the KILLER team of creatives that are committed to the company. I think that is soo rad! The shoot was styled by Summer Watkins from GreyLikesWeddings.com. That girl is the real deal. She is a girl that knows what she wants and gets it done… ha ha my kinda girl. She is SUPER talented and she just KNOWS what looks good. It was such a blast working with her and getting to meet/know her. AND she’s funny too. Read the full story
