Hi Promise! i found your site via jasmine Star’s site. First let me say how amazed I am by your work. Beautiful, and creativity just abounds! I can’t stop browsing!
Second, about Kate McRae. WOW. I linked to her blog last night and just read, read and read some more. Her parents are truly amazing people, but Kate is something else. She is Special, in the highest form of the word possible. The suffering that she has endured, but the strength and courage that has over powered this just blows me away. We have so much to learn from this precious little girl. Today I have hugged my kids tighter, kissed them softer, and told them how much I love them over and over and over again. I am inspired by this family’s heartbreak, and reading Kate’s story has forever changed me as a Mother. I have about 15 pages left until I have read all the way back to last June/July, i have cried and prayed, cried and prayed. Thank you for sharing Kate’s story, she will be in our family’s prayers EVERY night from here on.
Thank you Promise for sharing her story, and so beautifully too.

I found Kate’s story from another blogger that I found on another blog of a family who lost their 10 month old to cancer and I found that blog from a friend. Did you follow all of that? I think blogs are wonderful and bring out a LOT of prayer warriors! Always praying for sweet Kate! Thank you for posting this!!

I found out about Kate’s story through following you and Brian on Twitter…and I’m so glad I did. I clearly remember going around my church office on the day of her surgery and had the staff at church praying for her. Prayer warriors have been brought up for this sweet child because of a great way to spread her story! Social networking made that possible. Thank you for sharing, and thank you for having a servant’s heart!

The website looks AMAZING, and it is so wonderful for you to dedicate your time and talent. One of my readers wrote to me about Kate back in July, and mentioned that she was from “my area”. Little did she know, I live in Chandler. After reading Holly’s posts, my heart was broken into a million pieces. I am a mother of two, one a little blonde 2-year old daughter named Kate. I can honestly say that Kate McRae has changed my outlook on life and I thank my lucky stars every night that my two little ones are happy and healthy. I have held auctions for Kate and have been posting about the toy drive on my blog. I couldn’t agree more that social networking is powerful. Her story has touched thousands of people that want to pray and help however they can.

I have found true inspiration from social networking. A Childhood Cancer Warrior and Angel Coleman Scott has touched my heart strings immensely in the short time he spent on earth….the updated post on his struggles, smiles and brotherly love with his twin Caden were so touching and inspiring to do more, to do better, to make the best of the time you have was a lesson I will never forget…As Team Larson says Neva Div Up. His story has triggered me to follow their family as well as a fellow college classmate who has a child with leukemia and their chain of friends who are true heroes. Learning about how others help others has also inspired me to utilize it at work by creating a camp allowing youth learn about charitable works/organizations. Great work and Prayers for all the warriors and families!!!

Lord, we place in your mighty and caring hands. We pray for healing. We pray for comfort and encouragement for Kate and her family this holiday season. I pray that You reveal yourself to them through this hard time. Let them experience You and get a bigger idea of the God you are.

My heart goes out to this family and their story. My mother passed away when I was nine to cancer and stories like these still grab my heart! The Lord is sovereign.

This is an awesome post. And a great reminder that, no matter who you are or what your platform is, you have the ability to do a lot of good. Twitter and blogs aren’t just a way to give people the scoop on your life. They are a way to reach out to people, pray for each other, and have a support system that stretches farther than down the street. Kate’s story is an incredible reminder of that.

Promise thank you for posting this. I am a social network butterfly. I am one of those blessed people who get to be taught by Aaron every Sunday. So this is very real to me. It’s real life and not just virtual. I asked the company I worked for to do a toy drive in honor of Kate several months ago. They really stepped up to the challenge and the day I delivered them will remain with me.

The one moment that was so powerful to me was the online prayer meeting Brian held on Ustream. I sat there singing with him. Praying with everyone and the fellowship was so very sweet.

I remember the day Brian sent the tweet asking us to spread the word and tweet celebrities. I think I sat there for about 2 hours straight sending out the tweets and praying. Praying. Praying. Praying.

Thank God for social networking.

1) praying for kate and her family. it is such a tough road but GOD IS SO GOOD! praying that he is continually their source of comfort and that they find rest in his sovereignty!

2) I have no special story, except that I love twitter! especially being a graphic design student its a great way to connect with other artists and spread my inspiration file.

3) this is your first website? holy cow!! I love it! Did you just do the design? or did you help with the coding as well? I would love to see the process of how you actually built the website!
