AVE Styles is a new fashion styling business started by my great friend Alexandra Evjen. Alex has become a really great friend in recent months and I am so happy and glad to be a part of the launch of her hard work, passion, inspiration and dreams. Alex is one of those rare people that just oozes passion in whatever she does. She has a servants heart and loves helping, and connecting people. I love that she is following her dreams to pursue what she is really good at, helping people with their personal style and confidence. Here is a little bit about Alex:
Hi! I’m Alexandra Evjen, founder of AVE Styles. I started my styling business to help men and women feel confident in their appearance and to make the sometimes overwhelming world of fashion simple. You will find me regularly contributing fashion advice for Arizona Channel 15’s Sonoran Living, reading every fashion magazine I can get my hands on, frequenting coffee shops and enjoying the company of friends and family. I also volunteer as an Ambassador for Phoenix Fashion Week, and I am an active member of Fashion Group International’s Arizona Chapter.
My personal style? I am a lover of classic sportswear and evening gowns. Simplicity is everything to me in fashion because it lets the beauty of one’s personality steal the show. Favorite Designers/Clothing Lines: Carolina Herrera, Narciso Rodriguez, Jil Sander, Vera Wang, Diane von Furstenburg, Betsey Johnson, Marc Jacobs, Derek Lam, Marchesa, Burberry, L.A.M.B, Carmen Marc Valvo, Elizabeth and James, Chanel, Nicole Miller, J. Crew
For AVE Styles branding we wanted to go clean, simple, and unique, but bold and bright. Below is the inspiration board that we created and I referred to it from time to time. Because she is in fashion we took a lot of inspiration from fabrics, and patterns… which I love. AVE styles branding package consists of a logo, look and feel, business cards, letterhead, thank you/hello card, and a pattern for her website and twitter background.
Please check out AVE Styles at www.avestyles.com. Alexandra is a local Phoenix girl, so anyone looking to revamp their look needs to check out her services and pricing. PLUS, she is always game for a rad photo-shoot. I know a few photographers that have been booking her up to style shoots. AHHHH that is so fun. hhaa. I love it. I have her booked for an upcoming shoot that I am really excited about.
I always love to hear your thoughts and comments. Also leave some love on Alex’s blog too. She has some BOMB fashion tips and style advice for the upcoming season.
I also have to say a BIG thank you to Alex. She has the gift of organizational skills, and I don’t… especially when it comes to my business. Over these last few months she has really taken my business to the next level of professionalism by suggesting improvements, implementing organizational systems, cleaning out my studio, and helping me think like a better business person. I seriously owe her the world for making my life so much better. Cheers to great friends, to pursuing dreams, and helping others.

I have a question….
How did you get started with doing all this?? I don’t really have an professional education in design or arts, just an obsession and willingness to learn. It’s something that I love and would SO love to turn into a career, but I don’t have a clue as to how to start or where to begin. Any advice? It would be greatly appreciated. I live in the Tacoma, WA area (Puyallup to be exact). I know you’re from up this way… Always inspired by your posts! Thanks!
