It’s that time again when we are inches away from launching the new Spring 2012 website collection for Site House, and I can’t believe we are approaching our 4th release. Where has the time gone? This blog post covers A LOT of fun and new stuff to be excited about including our Facebook video event. EEKK!!!
SPRING 2012 SITEHOUSE WEBSITE RELEASE
I am really stoked on the design, movement, functionality, and options this website spring line has to offer. Check out the thumbnail previews up top. The design aesthetic is clean, interesting, and interactive. This season, I put more focus on strategic layout and functionality – making the sites even easier to envision your logo, graphics, colors, and photos. Each design looks great with a variety of different logo shapes and sizes. I know all you photogs are particular about how you display your images (and rightfully so). Therefore, three of the designs I’ve created have three different gallery style layouts to choose from. YAY for choices and options!

We also just added SITEHOUSE LIFE to the website. This is a section of the website that displays all things live and interactive with Sitehouse such as before and afters, photography partners, new blog posts, and a few other things in the works.
YOU LOVE US + WE LOVE YOU: FACEBOOK VIDEO EVENT
Here’s the fun part! We get declarations of love from our Site-House-ers on a daily basis. So we decided it would be fun to put it on video and LOVE YOU BACK at the same time. So, here’s the deal…We know a lot of you all like to update your web presence with a fresh layout, and because it’s the beginning of the year we think it’s the PERFECT time to do that…Wouldn’t ya say? In honor of the new release we are gifting you free sites via our Facebook video event. WHAT to the WHAT?!?! Check out the *video* below for dets.
A SNEAKY TIP:
WPPI in Vegas is coming up with next week. Pull your photog friend over to the side and have them record a quick snippet with their 5d cam with video or something similar. Easy and DONE!!
DEADLINE: MARCH 1ST
(The videos selected may be used for some promo ideas we have up our sleeves)
The winners will be able to choose the site design of their choice from previous collections or the new collection, and they can redeem it upon announcement, save it for a later time, or give it to a friend. We are all about sharin’ the looooove.
I wanted to take a minute and share with you what Showit and Sitehouse is for the new blog readers.
WHAT IS SHOWIT?
Showit is an amazing drag and drop website creating software that allows you to update, tweak, or redesign your site yourself at any time without any additional charges or any knowledge of code. This software has been extremely revolutionary for my business because I can create pretty websites on my own time by dragging and dropping design elements onto the stage. I don’t have to spend my time draining my creative spirit pouring over code lingo like h < heref mumbo jumbo. Showit allows me to do what I’m good at, designing, and it really takes care of the rest. Talk about outsourcing your weaknesses! Done and done, and I don’t have to wait on anyone.
WHAT IS SITEHOUSE?
Showit was originally designed for photographers, and as you can imagine their inner artist completely geeked out over having complete creative control on what their website looks like. That’s where I come in with SiteHouse. SiteHouse is a company that I have created that offers pre-designed Showit websites (we call em Style Groups) to those creative photographers. Because photographers aren’t pro designers (but have TONS of creative ideas), Sitehouse brings in that professional design structure for photographers to start with, and then from there they can COMPLETELY customize it thanks to Showit’s powerful drag and drop software.
THESE AREN’T TEMPLATES
One of the common questions we get is: “So, is it like a template?” I realize there is nothing like this out there right now so it’s kinda hard to explain. I don’t like calling these StyleGroups templates… because… well they’re not. At all. People have a preconceived idea of what a template is. “Templates are for businesses that DO NOT want to stand out from the crowd by creating a unique online experience”. haha. Is that what you think of? With templates, you’re stuck with what the design looks like and you can’t change it to fit your business. That’s why these STYLEGROUPS are KILLA because you can completely customize these bad boys. When I say COMPLETELY. I mean it. You can add your graphics, photos, videos, music, slideshows, calendars, count downs, and even your Twitter feed anywhere on your site. Also you can change fonts/colors, swap out background images, change the navigation orientation, or completely re-do the entire site design all together. What to the what?!?!?! YUP! It’s a new way of doing things my friends.
Alright!! Thats it for today!! I hope you enjoy your wednesday!! Do you have a site house design?

Love all the work you’ve with Sitehouse. Very very nice. And I love how versatile all the designs are. Great job! PS, I’m concern your ankle is double jointed or broken or something because how in the world is your shoe pointed straight up in your video from the way you’re sitting?!
