Here is another 5 things I love post. I have really grown to like these… haha. and not only becauase I get to share 5 things I love with you but because I get to see links, lists, and posts of things that you like. It seems like in every season of my life I go on a kick for something and its very fun to share it and see/hear about others. I guess it’s kind of whats going on in life in the in between times… and sometimes those things go unaddressed… even if they are silly and fun things. This is a long one so watch out!!!
1. ANYTHING PLAID This is a plaid season for sure. Last year only the Indie kids were wearing plaid and now grandpa, your mom and your baby are all wearing plaid. I love it. Patterns, fabric and color get me oh so excited. BRING it on for the winter season. Nice and cozy warm.

2. GIFTCARD GIVER!! This is pretty much the BEST idea I have ever heard. I LOVE IT!! These people found out that WE all have gift cards that are unused in our wallets. I serously have 10 or so i think. So why not use them to help someone instead of just sitting in our wallets? BRILLIANT! I love this company, not only because it is a great idea, but also because these people were thinking creatively and outside of the box to help people. I love that. I have a bit of an entrepreneur spirit and LOVE seeing people creatively following their heart and dreams. Check out their website and this RAD video below.

3. MINT M&Ms !! These are the BOMB!! Mint and chocolate are my weakness let alone mint and chocolate TOGEHER! And you can only get them in stores at christmas time. Go out and get them right now… stock up, and save them for the summer. hahha. SOOOOO good!

4. JACKLINE IN AFRICA!!
This sweet face is our sponsor daughter in Kenya Africa. She is a 15 year old beautiful girl. We started sponsoring her a few months before we went to kenya. So we got to meet her, spend time with her, and give her some little gifts. This girl has stolen our hearts and we are grateful to have her in our lives. We had no idea what it would mean to really have her in our life and take care of her the way she needs, but its just LOVE mostly.
This January she turns 16 years old. WOW. And she calls us mom and dad because we love her. I never expected at 24years old to be a “mom” of a girl that is 16 years old. haha. She is really fun, and SOOO SMART. She has big plans/dreams for her life. Here are a few photos that i took of her when we were there. The other day Brian and I got to go shopping for her for christmas. Clothes, a bible, and a watch is what she requested.

5. MATILDA JANE CLOTHING I dont have little ones yet and I don’t plan to have them for a little while, but i think this clothing company has the cutest clothes for little girls. I know this sounds shallow but after looking at their website.. it does make me a little more excited about when i will have some little bugs. hhaa. YIKES!!! Fun clothes, patterns, and photoshoots sounds sooooo fun with little people. I love that these clothes have a mix-match, whimsical, but laid back and playful look. Have fun checking out their website and their blog. So fun and cute. Here are some of my favorite peices. I love the little red head at the bottom with the big pony tail on top and striped leggings. It’s crazy that I feel inspired to wear fun clothes after looking at a children’s clothing company. WAY TO GO Matilda.

Promise you know I just had to reply. First of all PLAID is one of my favorites!!! My great grandpa came over from Scotland so our tartans and plaids are a must. My favorite scarves for winter were my grandpas and they are plaid. I also have his old wool coat that I wear them with. LOVE PLAID.
I love the gift card idea. Did you know that Goodwill takes them too and uses them to help others?
Coconut M&Ms are my favorite. I can’t find them any more and that makes me sad. But they are fabulous.
I am blessed to have a 15 year old daughter. They are amazing, magical and complicated gifts from God. I am so glad you have Jackline in your life. She is so very blessed to have you.

Yeah, we’ve definitely been doing the plaid thing up here in Seattle. I feel like the grunge thing will never go away.
But, I am really enjoying the plaids that are out right now. Especially the brighter colors.
As for the mint M&M’s…Oh my…WOW!!! I didn’t know these existed. Mint chocolate is seriously one of my top flavors in life. Especially if it’s mint and dark chocolate. Then I’m done for. I’m going to the store today to see if we have these wonderful looking M&M’s.

Definitely all so cute (the little girls) and I must try the mint m&m’s.
My five favorites:
homegrown oranges fresh off the tree, slightly warm from the sun
crackling fire in the fireplace, watching an old movie with my girls(or reading a good, old book)
singing christmas songd, old hymns and praise songs around the piano for hours with my brothers, sister and family
hiking up the steep slope of a mountain path to Castle Rock in Big Bear, sniffing vanilla-scented Jeffery Pines on the way
creating a colorful quilt with bright fabric (or knitting/crocheting some warm, lovely gift)
Five is NOT enough!

i’m obsessed with plaid/tartan at the moment as well! i found this random piece of plaid fabric that i tied around my wrist as a bracelet. i wore it to work the other day and heaps of my customers asked me which scottish plaid it was. haha i had to say i had no idea, it was just a random piece of fabric i found.
love those children’s clothes tooo!

I just found your site last week. It’s just TOO fun! And creative … you’re on my Favorites list and I plan to check back in on a regular basis.
Thanks for bringing another smile to my day. (The first one was listening to my 3 year old grandson angelically singing “Jesus Loves Me” into the phone this morning.) Not much will beat that!

Awe…I love to see my goods up there.. I’m flattered! But those mint M&M’s have got me beat. You know they made those regularly in 8th grade they were called M&M Royals. I went to the candy store everyday for them!

Love those Matilda Jane clothes. Don’t have children yet either, but I’m storing that away for when I do. That’s exactly how I want my children to dress!
And Mint M&M’s are the bomb. Mmmmmm….
