CHRISTMAS PHOTOBOOTH 101

We are goons. Christmas goons I guess. Melissa Jill, Stephanie fay, Alex Evjen and Steph bouck and I did our own little Christmas photobooth the other night at Melissa’s house. It was a perfect event to get us in the Christmas spirit. haha.

Now, there are a few things you need in order to have a successful Christmas photobooth. Here they are:

1. TAPE, SCISSORS, STREAMERS, (or wrapping left overs), & a BLANK WALL.
2. COOKIES & YUMMIES

3. SILLY FESTIVE COSTUMES & DECORATIONS
4. LITTLE DOGS
5. SOME HANDY HELPERS
6. A FIRE PLACE & MUSIC

7. FUN FRIENDS
8. A CAMERA (We used a Canon 5d, and an off camera soft box light)
9. ENTERTAINING SITUATIONS: Make up situations and circumstances and have everyone act them out. Instruct your friends to do silly things. It will be a good laugh!!

Eileen - This is AWESOME! Great idea and great fun for friends and family when they come to visit! Thank you!

alyssa - I’m SOOOO doing this with my friends at our Christmas party next week! Thank you Promise!!! :)

JESSICA@DOSSIE-A - saw this on Alex’s blog … so fun!!
I especially love the image of you guys all serious and the hat fell over Stephanie’s eyes – priceless!!

ashley - so fun! love the red lipstick! what color and brand?

promisetangeman - Ashley-
It’s a MAC color. I’m not sure what color exactly. One of the girls there helped me. I also got a lip liner to match. That is very helpful because the red lipstick is messy. :)

Neil - Love the idea will definetly have to try it, with some of my wacky friends!! Oh thought I should let you know that all the images get cut off on the mobile version on the iphone.

promisetangeman - Neil,
i know… i don’t know how to fix that. I will find out. :)

Mindy A - Hey ladies, I’ve attempted this in the past and had fun, but yours is way cuter! Do you use the timer or a remote?

Neil - Promise,
I use a WP plugin that works really well for mobile devises. I don’t want to try and advertise anything on your site, but if you want to know what I use, just let me know.

RobbieLee at Chickiedee - Super cute and super fun! I wish I would have thought of that for our Cookie Swap last weekend! :) Thanks!

Morgan - I LOVE this idea! One of the advent activities for my kids is to take “photobooth” pictures, so we’ll definitely be using some of your ideas. I think I”ll tape wrapping paper to the wall, like you suggested, so it’s even easier than the streamers. Thank you!!

Char - Aaaaaaah, gotta love girlfriends! So fun!!!

Tammie - Hey Promise! I love the photobooth idea, in fact we’re setting one up at my hubby’s Christmas party next Saturday. I love the idea of the streamers :: I wasn’t sure what kind of backdrop I was going to use, and this is perfect! Do you have the camera set up using the timer, or did you use the remote? Thanks so much!!
