Hey Friends,
I just wanted to stop in and say HI. I have been in Las Vegas for the past week at a photography conference at WPPI. but I just wanted to let you know that I haven’t forgotten about you… and I cant wait to get back and get going on some more projects. It’s really weird… but I actually have missed my blogging community this past week. I have so much to show you. I love projects and art so much. It has been a great break for me to be able to sit back, learn, listen, and the funnest part: CONNECT WITH ONLINE FRIENDS. I have had seriously an amazing time here at WPPI getting to know my online friends in person. The internet is so powerful and I have been so thankful for this past year and everyone that I have met. It has seriously been amazing.

If you do not know what WPPI is… it’s a photography conference for people into wedding and portrait photography. There are some AMAZING speakers, business classes, support, networking, friend making, workflow workshops, shoot-outs, mentorship, and parties like no other, etc. SOO much stuff happens at a place like this. It was my first year attending and Brian and I had so much fun. Being around other photographers and artists is SOO refreshing and encouraging for me. To be honest… having your own home business can be really lonely at times. You are home and on the computer alot working, editing, designing, and emailing… and that can really get old and lonely fast. That is why a conference like WPPI was a really great place to meet people and be refreshed and inspired. I was reminded that art and photography can mean so much to somebody and even change their lives. Sometimes i forget the power of a visual representation… especially from an artist that loves people, creating, telling a story, and helping others. It is a crazy busy week with a trade show that is literally OUT OF CONTROL, lots of things to look at, over visually stimulating advertisements and sales, and plenty of events to go to.
We mostly got to be a part of the SHOWIT events. I LOVED the time we got to spend with them. I love and believe in their products/ business so much so it was great to connect and hang with the show it team. Click the image above to see their new and ROCKIN website.
Were you at WPPI? Did I meet you there? Let me know if you have any questions about WPPI… or are considering going next year. I will check back and answer any thoughts or comments you have.

Coming soon: photoshoots, 5 things I love post, and some DIY projects. Stay tuned.

Andreia- I loved WPPI because its the one place that you can go and find out A TON of different ways of how to do a photography business. Everyone has a little different way of going about it.. and since so many people go to that, you are able to connect and learn from a BUNCH of photographers in only one weekend.

I have seen and heard your name all over some of the blogs I follow and had to come say hi! My name is Spring and I totally get the “is that your real name?” question too! As well as the “Summer, April, Autumn… close enough”. We have yet another thing in common- Photographer and Graphic Designer!!! Of course you are much more accomplished then I am but It’s excited to see other photographers who work in graphic design as well. I went to Northeastern University in Boston and have a BS in Photo and a minor in graphic design. So this is my via internet hand-shake and hope to meet you in person next year at WPPI!
