Hey guys!! it has been a few days. I apologize. Did you notice the new AD space i got on the right side of my blog?? huh? huh? haha. Pretty fun. I think they add some color. haha. OKay i have a lot of things to mention in this post…. so for easier navigation i numbered the paragraphs. hahaha. There is nothing i hate more than reading a whole chunk of words with no idea of where the topic is headed.
1. MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE KATE SITUATION:
These past few days have been pretty crazy. I think the whole kate situation has thrown the whole world for a loop. Kate is such a cutie and her family and the story has captured my heart. I have a had hard time concentrating on projects and life at this point. My heart is in the hospital with them. So i just wanted to talk a little bit about this whole process.
I have been completely BLOWN away about how the news is spreading so fast. I feel like my eyes have been opened during this time. Brian and I made that video last thursday (five days ago) and already it has had almost 40,000 views. THAT IS CRAZY. Celebrities are twittering/blogging it out and even DR.PHIL logged in for the internation prayer time on livestream.com the other night that Brian hosted. It has been amazing that people are so loving and supporting to the McRaes. Brian and I love them so much and we are in it for the long hall.
Also, it has been really cool to see people using their gifts to support and benefit others. You don’t have to be extremely talented to help people…. but you have to be ready and willing, and you will be used. I have been humbled and astonished that God has used brian and I to just simply get updates online and to help spread the word. That seems so simple…. yet it has been extremely powerful and encouraging for the McRae family. I just would have NEVER imagined that we could have helped in that way. haha. I believe that the online community is a very powerful tool if it is used right.
2. PRAYFORKATE.COM ART:
There will be some poster prints coming soon that you can purchase online and hang on the wall to be remined to pray for kate. The profits will go to kate and her family. More details to come.
3. SOME NEW PROJECTS I AM WORKING ON:
On a different note… these 4 images are comps for Jedidiah T-shirts. Jedidiah Clothing contacted me to do a few designs for them. I just sent these to them today… so i have no idea how they are going to go over. They could like ALL or non. haha. Either way is fine.. it has been a great process. Any thoughts about them? i am not sold on the colors of them yet. haha do you see a picture of Brian? and his beard? haha i just had to throw the plaid in there. haha.

4. ART FOR HURUMA PHASE 1:
CHECK THIS OUT!! Remember that post i just did about ART FOR HURUMA?? It’s a collab project with Barton Damer. Go here to read the details. Below is Barton’s first post. AMAZING. So in the next few days i will add to it and then post it up. PLEASE PASS THIS PROJECT ALONG TO YOUR FRIENDS. We need to sell poster prints and t-shirts to help the orphange in Africa. Please blog the process, link to our blogs, and tell your friends to keep up with the project. You can see the progress through my blog: promisetangemanblog.com Or barton’s blog: alreadybeenchewed.net. Thank you soo much for helping us get the word out to help kenya. HOW RAD IS BARTON”S FIRST POST??!?! I told him that I was going to ruin it if i added to it. hhaa. I think it looks done. haha. jk

Hey Prom! Love the comps and I can’t wait to see what comes out of the project with Barton, it looks insane so far!
I like the blue and yellow designs…I don’t know, something about the scissors and hands that intrigues me.
I’m digging the Medicine bottle design, but is there a way to make the words on the bottle “move” with the shape of the bottle? My eyes see the curve of the bottle but the words are flat. Just a thought…don’t know if that would look weird to change that or not!
Super rad stuff.

So many good things to read about – missed your posts. One year blog birthday? You should definitely celebrate. Dr.Phil – that’s awesome. Important news can spread fast. Love the last print – especially the blue you’ve used in it.

Been praying heavily for Kate and asking the same of others – we pray for healing, we pray for miracles, deciding to pray not on the basis of what we see is presently a devastating situation, but on an appeal to the God who claims His place as Healer. We have plunged into the promise, ready for God, sure that neither breath is breathed, nor circumstance come to be without the gracious approval of a loving God.
Presently, the project looks fantastic! Very stoked to see your addition to the Huruma piece.
Art projection, though of little consequence (I would ask you to excuse the simplicity of a rather tuneless attempt): http://www.flickr.com/photos/ejchan/3695636685/
cheers.

LOVE the Jedidiah comps… I don’t see how they couldn’t like them?!
The Kate situation is tragic, hopeful and exciting all at the same time. We have people at my church praying for her – it’s been amazing to watch the Kingdom of God rally around this situation, How great is that?!@
I’ve been working on getting my photography blog up to speed. I’ve missed taking and processing pictures… that’s definitely a love I want to rekindle.
Some of my recent pictures are up… http://www.cameronsmithphotography.com
Can’t wait to see what you guys come up with for the Huruma project, it’s so cool already!!

way random, and [obviously] way late in the comment…but my husband worked at yosemite sierra summer camp a few years ago (probably, now, closer to 5) but a guy who worked out there…his uncle, (is his story going way to long & getting way to boring?) started or owned or something (now i don’t even have good details) jedidiah. there. finially, to the point. SO we (the point of my comment) have loved jedidiah for a while (possibly a name for a son???!). your designs are great! and so is your blog. i stalk it.
and now you know.
