AN EMBARRASSING CONFESSION!! what’s your favorite restaurant?

Today when I opened up my personal email account I saw a HUGE bright Red Robin mass email advertisement. haha. I see them every so often in my email and I just don’t have the guts to unsubscribe. haha. It’s sad I know. And it’s sooo torturous. Red Robin corporate send those emails out when they know Promise Tangeman is at her weakest point. BECAUSE SHE LOVES RED ROBIN.

I know it’s really dorky to say that Red Robin is my favorite restaurant, but it is!! IT’S TRUE!! The cat is out of that bag. Whenever that question comes around.. like “where do you all like to eat?” Everyone else has these really posh restaurant names that probably serve gourmet something somethin and have really shiny spoons or menu items that I can’t even pronounce. But I LOVE Red Robin.

Cant go wrong with a etch-a-sketch contest. IM IN!!

I love the bright colors and the random clitter on the walls. I think my love for Red Robin comes partly from the memories behind it. It was one of that “main” restaurants in my home down, and I would pick to go there for every birthday celebration. haha. There is something really comforting and familiar about it. PLUS they have scrumptious fries. Next time you go there get the poppy seed salad dressing to dip your fries in. AND order the Ragin Cajun chicken burger. ITS THE BEST and it’s not on the menu, you have to ask specifically for it.

So that being said… what is YOUR favorite restaurant and WHY? I like funny stories too… if you have any.

ba ha ha ha!! that is SO cute!!
I love that about you!! My family loves red robins as well, for the “endless fries”.
    Funny story?
When I was 17 and waitressing, I had a snooty customer ask if the chicken there was decent or what. (said just like that). I got my back up, and flipped my fried blonde hair over my shoulder & said “not only is it decent…but we raise our own!! (lie #1). Yes, we have farms. Annnd on those farms we raise organic chickens. Of all breeds. Terryiki, cajun, and the normal ones too.”

I had no idea they were spices & not breeds/species of chickens.

Lee’s Mongolian in the tiny Ogden, Utah! It’s a total dive, hole in the wall type of place! They have great ingredients and my friends and I have mastered the art of building our own bowls! I love the steamy bowl stir fry you get back fresh off the hot, flat griddle.

I live in Dallas now, but when ever I get back to Utah I make a special trip to Lee’s. It’s cheap, fun and delicious. What more do you need?

I have read your blog for a while…. and had to comment on this fun post. I grew up at Red Robin with my Dad. He loved that place and I do too! Isn’t the atmosphere so fun? I love the art and the big silver Statue of Liberty.

Your blog is loved! Thank you for the inspiring me weekly and even daily.

So cute, Promise! When I was 15 and first started working as a hostess at a restaurant, someone called in a carry-out order and asked for buffalo wings, to which I replied, “I’m sorry, but we only have chicken wings.” At which point I blamed the gentleman for prank calling me… Whoops. I’m 27 now and that story never gets old to my family. ;-)

Hi Promise! As a 24 year old, I sometimes feel a little shy to say that my favorite restaurant is Taco Bell! There’s something about it that is so comforting:)!

Love Red Robin, but my heart belongs to Steak N Shake!!! :o ) We still go there for every birthday, after every graduation, lunch on Sundays after church and date nights on Tuesday! The waitresses know us by name!

  12. JESSICA Says:

    Hey Promise…

I never ate there but the commercial is catchy! The other day at Velocity (I’m a leader for my church’s youth ministry) the youth pastor was like “RRREEEEDDD RRROOBIINNN” and everyone said, “yyyuuuuummmmm”, right on cue … SO FUNNY! LOL

I do like some high-end dining, but I must admit I’m a fan off Crackle Barrel for that go-to home cooking!

Hands down, my favorite place is Venezia’s Pizza. They have several locations all throughout the valley and I just can’t get enough! I guess my embarrassing confession is that when I was in Italy and Europe I just kept thinking about how much I’d rather be eating Venezia’s pizza than theirs!! Haha!

  19. angie Says:

lol! that is so funny that you love Red Robin!!! My favorite place to eat right now is Sauce! They have the most amazing pizza and the caprese salad is seriously the greatest thing that I have ever eaten!

  20. brenda eden Says:

my favorite place to eat has got to be joe’s real bbq in gilbert. i’m a vegetarian so i can only really have sides and baked potatoes, and sometimes i ask myself why i like the place so much and the one main reason i come up with is because somehow i feel it connects me to my grandmother. she has been passed away since i was a kid, but the place makes me think of her so much. she would cook that kind of food and play the music that you hear there and if somehow i could see her again, i would take her there for dinner.

  21. karen Says:

  24. Kirstie Says:

I love Red Robin, it’s just that go to place when you can’t decide!

This one time we were at a little diner and we were with my aunt and her boyfriend. Well she tells the waitress that her and her boyfriend are together (meaning on the same check) and the waitress looks at her funny and then says, “Well good for you.” She obviously didn’t get it haha
