WOOOHOO!! We got another Creative Toolbox artist for you today! Her name is Andria Lindquist, a wedding, boudoir, and commercial photographer from Seattle, Washington. ANND she is the one that took my new headshots. AHH!! I love her work so much!! Keep an eye on her people! She’s got a lot of spirit, talent, and she’s going places. Okay, I am also excited to say that Liz Grant, my friend and design partner in crime is going to be running this column for us! So stoked! We have some awesome talent lined up!

I’m gonna hand this off to Andria to tell you about the items in her toolbox!
1 // SPOTIFY
I am alone and in front of the computer a lot, so I get tired of my own knowledge of music pretty quick. I have the premium Spotify account, so I can listen to new albums in full and see suggestions and things I would otherwise never hear about. Currently am jamming on Frank Oceans new album (Channel Orange), Kimbra and Ed Sheeran.
2 // BOYT LEATHER DUFFLE
This has been here and there and all over the country and world with me. I found it at a thrift store and immediately purchased it. The leather is amazing and has a velvety touch to it I had no idea that this bag retails for like $150. I paid $14.99 and it has been by far the best travel piece I’ve purchased.
3 // ALEX & ANI BRACELET
Day to day, I don’t wear much jewelry, it just gets in the way shooting or annoying when I’m on my computer. As a bridesmaid gift, I was given this bracelet with “A” on it – and I haven’t taken it off since! You can buy multiple and stack, but I love having just one. It’s jewelry, but totally wearable while shooting.
4 // COFFEE
My saving grace. Yes people in Seattle drink coffee like it will save our lives and I am no different. I collect mugs in the cities I go to, so I grab a big (I mean HUGE) mug in the morning and fill it up with coffee. 70% coffee, 30% boiled Vanilla Soy. The best! And no….I’m not addicted, I can stop any time I want.
5 // BLACK RAPID DOUBLE STRAP
I change lenses a lot and it became a waste of my time to keep changing them a lot…so the Black Rapid Double Strap Slim Fit saved my life! I have 2 lenses that are my go-to’s (35 & 45 T/S) so this baby is amazing. Also, at the end of a wedding, when I’ve been shooting 12ish hours, I absolutely noticed that the distribution with the double strap has saved the life of my back over the single strap with all the weight in one spot.
6 // MY ESSENTIALS
I use a handful of things every day…that have become part of me and are incorporated into my day before tackling any projects, shoots or to-do’s. // Jo Malone perfumes // I have a whole set of things and depending on the feel of the day, I layer on two separate smells. I like that her perfumes are all about layering….you don’t get tired of your scents as quickly. // Smith’s Minted Rose Lip Balm // I am seriously addicted to chap stick, so I’m quite the connoisseur. My recent fav is this one, it’s like toothpaste for your lips. Leaves them with a little minty tingle. love it! // Nars Blush, Orgasm // I think every girl needs this on their cheeks. Done and done. // Pocky // Mmm these are delicious, a few times a day I grab a little Strawberry Pocky. What a treat, these are the BEST. // Benefit Benetint // The perfect dash of color! I use this for my cheeks after blush and it gives a wonderful natural glow and then a dash on my lips when I don’t want to wear lipstick but still have color on my lips. It lasts forever. // Washington State Necklace // This is around my neck 24/7. I’ve always wanted to find that little simple necklace that I could wear at all times and mean something to me. THEN I came across this necklace at a local boutique. PERFECT! Totally fixed the itch I had to get a “Washington” tattoo. They have all states to pick from in gold and silver.
7 // INFUSED WATER
Most days, I could get to 10pm and realize I haven’t drank any water yet. Woops. So, to curb that, I bought a $5 water infuser and every few days cut some new fruit or cucumbers and throw them in with my water jug. Right now, drinking nectarine water. HELLO. it makes drinking water easy and enjoyable.
8 // BLOGGITY
My blog has been the #1 most important thing for my business and establishing my voice with what I do. I want it to be more than just about pictures. I feel like my images are naked unless I prepare you and lead you into the mood of what they are. The story behind what I’m documenting is equally as important and I have developed a style and writing that must be present in order for my images to go up. It’s not just a medium for sharing photos; it’s the face and the heart.
Thanks so much Andria for taking us inside your creative toolbox. It’s so fun seeing what items you use on a daily basis. We can’t wait to see you continue to create such beautiful images.
AND OMG!!! Andria used that dual camera sling strap thing on the shoot with me. and she looked SOOOO LEGIT!! IT was awesome. To view the other Creative ToolBox posts go HERE.
