SO, during a twitter direct messaging exchange with the ever-so inspiring Erin Loechner and we decided to exchange our strengths and weaknesses with the goal of get to know each other better. Just because… we met in person at ALTSummit and… uh… Liked each other I guess. ha-ha.

In that moment I came to realize that I am getting to “know” myself better. ha-ha that sounds weird, but I guess getting older, you do finally grow into yourself. Being a creative business owner for two years now, I have definitely learned a lot about myself, business-y, professionally, and creatively. And I have plenty of weaknesses… and THAT OKAY, but id rather call them “not-so Strengths”.

Identifying what these are is really important when collaborating with other people, getting things done, or accomplishing dreams or ideas. That way you can align yourself with people that really compliment you. SO, anyway, here it goes:

*STRENGTHS*
Creative thinking
Problem solving
Personality
DIY
Graphic Design
Fashion
Curation
Ideas
Energy
Passion
Seeing The Big Picture
Working hard

*NOT-SO-STRENGTHS*
Administration
Negotiating
Finances
Phone calls
Website CODING
Cooking
Writing
Editing
Spelling
Cleaning
Keeping track of things
Staying Organized

WHAT ARE YOURS? Share in the comment section or link in your blog post. I would love to check them out.

Erin does a killer Resource party that is similar to this idea. I would love to do that someday with a bunch of talented people.

thanks for a great idea! you do this a lot in the “interview” process but when you aren’t working for anyone but yourself you tend to not think about it. PS-love your clothes, always!

you know what i love about this list? most of your strengths are from your inner core. your being. who you were created to be. while most of your not-so-strengths are exterior and related to doing. that is truly a beautiful thing.

I love you site Promise! It’s so inspiring. It’s great that you are so aware of your not-so strengths. Many people have trouble admitting those. P.S. if you need some cooking tips you should hit up my blog. Aaaaand I’ll continue to use your for some artistic inspiration. Lord knows I need it! ;)

hmm very cool idea. its not to see someone so obviously creative and successful talking about weaknesses and strengths. its very encouraging and informative!

something i’ve had to come to terms with myself is that i am NOT good at making phone calls and/or awkward social situations with new people, even though its a requirement in my job. i need more self discipline in that area!! lol
