The house was decked with gold streamers, colorful confetti, beards, great friends, and GOOD food. I was pretty nervous considering I am not Susie Homemaker and I consider myself a terrible host. But with some help of some great friends I pulled off a surprise 30th birthday party for my husband Brian. I can’t believe he’s 30. He had NO idea and I was completely surprised that he was surprised. haha. I am very thankful that he was traveling in the beginning of November so I was able to sneak a few trips and planning dates in when he was gone. His parents came out to visit us and I told Brian that I was helping my assistent, Alex, get her house ready for her “open House” on saturday. His parents said they wanted to see her home and meet Alex too. So they brought him at 7:30pm. Little did he know that it was his surprise party. And SURPRISE!!! Check out the video above of the surprise moment. It was pretty epic.

I just wanted to take a minute and share with you the photos from my hubby, Brian’s cd release party. I am a P-R-O-U-D wifey!! Can i brag a little? Hahaa. The night was such an amazing night for worship. There were graphics in the back that depicted the song’s, mood, and mindset. It created an AMAZING worship Experience. I was blown away and I even get chills as I type this. The screen graphics were done by the amazing Stephen Proctor. He is a “VJ” (visual jockey) at: WorshipVJ.com
There were a little under 1,000 people there and they were cheering and engaged in the experience. We left this night very thankful, supported, and excited for the future. The Album was created to connect people to God and to Glorify him only… and that was definitely done that night. I’m so proud of Brian for letting God work through him like he does.

This man makes my world go round…. literally. I love him to pieces, more than he can ever know. This past year it has been so fun and exciting to see him run towards his dreams and goals in life. Brian is so talented, full of love, passion, and has a HUGE heart for people. I am extremely thankful for his guidance, his love and support in my life.
And I am so ecstatic that I can stand next to him and encourage his dreams and push him forward. These last few months Brian has been hard at work to create an artistic worship album that connects us to God on a deeper level. Brian partnered with a great friend and UBER talented musician T.J. Hill to craft a really unique sound, deep lyrics, and a fresh perspective. A few of the songs are strung together with music interludes to serve as extra worship experiences. The way i worded that made it sound weird… But its AWESOME!!!

Brian & I both have November Birthdays. This year I turn 25 and Brian turns 29. As we’ve talked further about ‘what we want to do for our birthdays this year’, we’ve decided that we wanted do something with the celebration of life beyond our receiving. Trust me, we will celebrate, but, we want you to help us with the ultimate celebration this year.
We want to give our birthdays away this year. We want our birthdays to bring LIFE to some that may not celebrate another Birthday if we didn’t give it away to them!
We continue to discover the extreme need in the world for sustainable life giving resources. We’ve heard from our friend Scott Harrison and his team at Charity Water that millions of people don’t live to see their 5th birthday. And why? Because they didn’t have access to clean, safe water. That reality has shaken us to do something. We need to not be okay with this happening while we’re alive.

This is our wedding album. Brian and I are a little more casual than some others… so we opted for a book printed by blurb.com. I really LOVE the print and how the cover and binding turned out. I really couldn’t be happier… it is exactly what i was hoping for. I designed the albums all by myself by downloading some of the specs and sizes off of the blurb site. Not all the pages are shown here… just some of them. Brian and I also bought this same album for his parents and my parents for christmas. THEY LOVED IT!! Sorry this post and photographs are visually too busy and I am showing WAY to many.. but i thought they were a little fun. I always love your thoughts and comments.

THESE FIRST 8 PHOTOS WERE TAKEN BY OUR BRILLIANT MAIN PHOTOGRAPHER: DALEY HAKE

Our wedding was the most amazing day of our lives. We NEVER thought it would have been as glorious as it was. It was truly a dream wedding without the price tag. Our friends and family came around us with so much love and support. It was amazing. We have the greatest friends and family. This was the best wedding ever. haha. Brian and i seriously cried the whole morning after because we were so thankful and unworthy of love like this. I hope you enjoy this little snapshot of our special day. We would love comments from everyone on this post… and especially from those that were there.

About a week or so before our wedding Brian and I and the main guys on the worship arts team drove over to Southern California for Catalyst West!! what what! Brian was asked to host the catalystgreenroom.com where he would be doing on the spot interviews and backstage photos in the greenroom with the key speakers and music artists. I was originally just going to the conference.. just to go.. but a few days before I was hired to take some photos of the “before party” hosted by the one and only Carlos Whitaker. It was an amazing night. There was a BBQ, snowcones, graffiti artists, and Toms Shoes was there doing art on shoes. It was awesome. I wanted to jump right in and start painting with them. hahaha. hire me hire me haha. jk.
Also the founder of Toms shoes made and appearance. He spoke a little bit about what the ministry is doing through selling shoes. WOW! some crazy stuff. If you live in a hole and you have never heard of Toms shoes you need to check it out. TOMS Shoes was founded on a simple premise: For every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One. Using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good is what we’re all about.
It was a really fun day.. filled with alot of different types of people. it was crazy actually connecting with people that i know online. I met a lot of poeple that follow my blog and i follow theres etc. The internet is SOOO weird. haha. But it’s soo awesome too. Because we were all strangers… but NOT because we all knew each other. haha. This shoot was differnt than the normal types of shoots that I do. I feel that I am best at portraiture and in situtations that i can tweak and change and control. haha. But photographing events is a totally different game. I think i did okay. any thoughts? suggestions? advice? comments?
