I am excited to share with you a really fun t-shirt DIY!!! I always love revamping old things… or buying an old used tee at a thrift store. I picked this one out at Goodwill for $1.99 specifically for this project. This is for the girl who likes a hippy/grunge look. I really like this piece because its great for layering. its baggy, cropped, and leaves lots of room to show off the blouse or t-short underneath. OR you can throw a baggy sweater over the top. Perfect for fall. and the best part is this project only took me 15 minutes to make. AND NO sewing is required. TO start this all you need is a t-shirt and a pair of scissors.

I was cleaning out and organizing my new studio when i came across Audrey Assad’s indie album packaging from a few years ago (below). She is an amazingly talented singer/songwriter with a great idea on how to package cds. She just threw it in a paper bag and wrote her title on the front. Whether you are an idie artist that needs a low budget packaging option OR you just like to make mixed cds for your friends this DIY is super fun and easy. Inspired by Audreys idea i exanded on it a little more.

This DIY I did was featured on the lovely miss elsie’s blog www.abeautifulmess.typepad.com a few days ago. You may have seen that there, but in case you didn’t here it is. If you LOVE thrifting, vintage, art, and home decor, I think you will LOVE this DIY!! Its a super easy and fun way to make art for your home. I love that it has a past and it is recycled. haha. I have a crush on repurposing everyday household items. Why wouldn’t I??!! They are inexpensive, usable, and right in front of your eyes. I bet you won’t even need to get into the car for this one.

There is nothing I love more than being resourceful. Here is a simple necklace tutorial made out of thrifted finds. It is very fun and perfect for a little added funky flair. PLUS, it looks christmas-y right? You can make it with any color scheme by changing out the beads, and fabric. I did totally make this up… so no hating or judging.. haha. It’s just for fun. The items you will need are shown above: Strips of fabric, beads, yarn or string, and shower curtain rings. I displayed yarn AND string… but in this example I just chose to use the yarn.
