Yesterday I was task girl. Task girl is a refresh compared to hermit-working-on-long-projects-alone-girl. Have you felt the difference? HAHA! I like both girls but sometimes task-girl just needs to do more. Task girl is emails, phone calls, to-do lists, errands, meetings, tweets, facebooks, art direction, blogs, test prints, UPS… you get the idea. Yesterday I had 2 creative meetings IN REAL LIFE…. Can you believe it?!!? HA! and eerands for the rest of the day. Ahh nice!! It was a nice fall day with some sun (apparently I was also a weather caster(sp?) anyway…. This is what I wore. The tomboy look has always run in my blood for as long as I can remember…. and it’s days like yesterday where I felt MA style ROOTS. haaha. BUT…the bad to the bone look in these… Melissa Jill jokes that I am a lot “sweeter” in person than I look in photos. I guess it’s just my bad to the bones insides that desperately want to make their presence known somewhere. hahhaa.

Check out those pretty feathers and colors. There are so many fun things going on with feathers this season in particular. I have been crushing over the feather look for a while now. Remember that DIY hair accessory tutorial I did last year? Well, now you can pull it off without looking CRAZY!! haha. I love seeing all the creativity with feathers and colors and textures. It really adds a lot of detail and interest. The fine lines are so interesting to look at. Feathers can be pulled off in so many different ways. And I especially love the feathers in graphics, fine art, tattoos, logos and branding too. SO fun.
You can find all of these items and links on my Pinterest board here. Enjoy!! Oh yea… link any other cool feather stuff in the comments. Would love to see.

I am excited to share with you a really fun t-shirt DIY!!! I always love revamping old things… or buying an old used tee at a thrift store. I picked this one out at Goodwill for $1.99 specifically for this project. This is for the girl who likes a hippy/grunge look. I really like this piece because its great for layering. its baggy, cropped, and leaves lots of room to show off the blouse or t-short underneath. OR you can throw a baggy sweater over the top. Perfect for fall. and the best part is this project only took me 15 minutes to make. AND NO sewing is required. TO start this all you need is a t-shirt and a pair of scissors.

Hello hello!!!! I am really excited to get this post up!! You have probably seen some of these babies over on Melissa Jill’s blog a few weeks back. I did a shoot for her a while back and she returned the favor with this really fun shoot. Promise Tangeman creative is making some updates and so my project manager Alex and I thought we better update the shots too. But mostly it was a really fun time with our girlfriends.
Here are the amazing contributors on this fun shoot:
Melissa Jill // Photography
Tina Bunham // Make up
Kim Cornwell // Hair
The girls were making fun of me because for some reason I kept wanting to do either a gangsta pose or punching fists. haha. It was SUPER fun!! Thanks to all that were involved. Hope you enjoy!!

The nice thing about having a husband that is almost your size…is that you get to wear his clothes and actually look presentable. HaHa. When I was getting ready to go to dinner the other night, his plaid button up was calling my name. BIG TIME! I couldn’t resist. I even laughed a little as I loaded up the perfume all over his manly bearded-boy shirt. haha.

THIS POST IS FOR ALL YOU FASHION DIVAS. These last couple of years i have been traveling A TON!! My old packing technique was literally THROW a ton of stuff in and hope something works out when I get to my destination. Haha. Obviously I have learned that packing light is key, being organized makes the whole trip easier, and planning outfits ahead of time prevents a lot of headache and saves room.
My fashionable internet friend Beth Jones (check out my interview with her HERE) just created a product that I am LOVING and it helps me pack and stay organized. This can be used in so many ways… but it works great for my traveling schedule. IT’s called Stylit and it’s a fashion inspiration and planning notebook that you can throw in your bag or purse and GO!! I think this would be such a fun christmas present for your sister or fashionable friends.
