YAY!! You guys asked for it!! Another Hair-How-To guide for ya. HERE is the first one. This time it’s with The Girls with Glasses Show. Oh man I love these girls. They are the funniest, funnest, sweetest, silliest, smartest girls I know. So when they asked if I wanted to share some hair tips with them I could NOT pass it up. I have like 3 or 4 pairs of fake glasses just because they make it look so fun.
Hopefully this tutorial inspires you in some way to have fun with your hair and experiment a little.

It has definately been a long time coming. So, I am excited to announce that the Messy Bun Hair Tutorial is finally up. FYI This post is just random. Happy Tuesday!! So yesterday I did a few test shots against my chalkboard wall. I woke up the other day with a fun idea of just using a flash in a dark room against the chalkboard wall. I am SUPER into the instagram editing look right now. So I put a light action on there to slightly replicate that look, just a tad. I think I really liked the way it turned out. Brian really needs some updated headshots and I think this would be a really fun way to do it. And maybe even write something in the background??!?! SO FUN
On another note.. I have a haircut today. I was thinking about cutting it short for fall and winter… you know, because long hair over big coats and stuff is just kinda scary looking. Ya know? so i usually ALWAYS wear it up in the winter. It looks way better with collars and coats. BUT IM SCUUUUURED!!! I think as I am getting older it’s getting harder to make changes. THAT SOOOO WEIRD. When I was in high school and college I would just change it up on a whim and have a lot of fun with it that way. I really do like my long hair though. We shall see what happens. EEEK!!!! Thoughts? Should I GO for it?! Or stay safe?
OHH!!! Also… did you notice that the blog got a slight update? I changed out the wood background, the banner up top, and the ad spaces. I really miss blogging and I haven’t been around in a while. I will update you on that later. For now. See ya.

Hello hello!!!! I am really excited to get this post up!! You have probably seen some of these babies over on Melissa Jill’s blog a few weeks back. I did a shoot for her a while back and she returned the favor with this really fun shoot. Promise Tangeman creative is making some updates and so my project manager Alex and I thought we better update the shots too. But mostly it was a really fun time with our girlfriends.

A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of photographing a promotional shoot with Brillare hair Academy (formerly Toni & Guy) in Phoenix and Scottsdale. They are releasing a new website soon designed my mindspace.net and so they needed some photos for it. I saw the comps for the new website AND IT IS SOOO BOMB! I will post a link when its up. Brillare had their students from the school model and do each others hair. It was so fun to see how creative they are backstage. This shoot was SOOO fun getting to work with a bunch of unique artsy people. And I totally felt like I was back at art school again. It brought back some fun memories, and It was great. But the over 100 degrees at 7 am in the morning was not so great. haha. In this season of my life I am SOOOO enjoying the chance to collaborate with my dear friends. It is such a High to get to create and feed energy off of each other. Alex collaborated with me for directing and posing of the models. It was so much fun to have her energy there.
This shoot was shot over 2 separate days with a total of 8 different models. The client wanted natural real life looking photos (not in a studio) and mostly back lit for a light sun-flair because Brillare means “to shine”. We had some lovely talented ladies contributing to this shoot:
I dun it!! Back to brunette. It’s a nice change I think. Not sure if the light choice in these photos was the best to show the texture and color, but o well. I am so sorry I am so late with these photos. Thanks for the pep talks, ideas, and the encouragement. You guys ROCK.
This is just a silly post. If you are a serious person or take yourself or me seriously… DONT READ THIS!!!
I know that you people only know me as a blondie… But surprise surprise I am actually a brunette!! hhaa. Big surprise I know. Only in the past two years have I tried the blonde hair thing. And I liked it. I love having bleachy blonde hair because it’s kinda fried and stays wherever I put it. haha.
Well, it has been a really interesting getting a little older now, because I feel like I’m not as daring as I used to be. AHH!! In high school and college I changed my hair style and coloring ALL the time. I loved drastic change and something different all the time. Short hair, long hair, highlights, black hair, red hair, and now blonde hair. But now I feel all scared to change it up.
Is that what happens when you get older? You just stay with what’s safe? Well, not anymore. I think I’m ready for a change again. I’m getting my hair colored next week and the big question is: Should I color it brown?!?!?! Because I have come to like you guys, I think I want to ask your opinion. But don’t be offended if I don’t do what you say. haha. I found these photos of Ashley greene in the new Nylon Magazine and I think it’s the shade of warm brown that I am looking for.
