Hey Friends,
I just wanted to stop in and say HI. I have been in Las Vegas for the past week at a photography conference at WPPI. but I just wanted to let you know that I haven’t forgotten about you… and I cant wait to get back and get going on some more projects. It’s really weird… but I actually have missed my blogging community this past week. I have so much to show you. I love projects and art so much. It has been a great break for me to be able to sit back, learn, listen, and the funnest part: CONNECT WITH ONLINE FRIENDS. I have had seriously an amazing time here at WPPI getting to know my online friends in person. The internet is so powerful and I have been so thankful for this past year and everyone that I have met. It has seriously been amazing.

First off, I have to say that I am soo sorry that I have neglected this blog. I have been a busy bee designing, creating and photographing. I have some really fun projects coming up to show you. So stay tuned, especially for a fun shop update. And thank you to all of you who check back here on a regular basis. I am going to work a little harder at posting even simple hellos, or even the thoughts on my mind for that day. I want to continue to post often but I never want blogging to run my life. haha. I am sure you know people like that.

That being said, I feel like my blogging style has changed a bit and I am not posting as often as I would like to. I would love to hear your thoughts on blogging topics you would like me to post/cover.

Any questions for me on design, creating, blogging etc? Any certain blog posts that you enjoy more than others? I would love your suggestions.

Here is a painting project that my hair stylist Kim hired me to do as a christmas gift to her husband. You may have remembered some of the photos that i took of them recently, see them here. Her husband is a professional skate boarder so i tried to do it a little more STREET STYLE. hha. The size is a 38in x 38in square. aww i LOVE working in squares. I really like the way it came out. Do you?

anyway… this is a side note.. i am dying to know this from you today. What do you do with that free minute in the day/week/or month? and NO i am not talking about roll over minutes on your cell phone, silly. When everything is said and done and you have a little free time… what is it that you look forward to doing? DO TELL DO TELL. be specific.

So there is this little secret line that is coming out and I am SOOOO excited. seriously. I have been a little worker bee and I am LOVING this project. I only displayed a few images here. But there are a lot more. But by popular request i have a dino line coming out very soon. After the give-away i had a few people asking for this. I am soo excited because i am seriously in love with this concept and idea.

YOU GUYS!! I am really excited. I found out yesterday that my blog was the readers choice for faith/arts/media/design blog for 2009 in Collide Magazine. And it was SERIOUSLY only because you guys voted. I don’t want to sounds weird, or cheesy, or sound like im gonna make a speech or anything..It’s not like I won a grammy or anything close to that.  but I do want to tell you something.

This actually really does mean a lot to me and I will tell you why. I am that girl that does a lot of things but NEVER is the best of anything. NEVER ANYTHING. There is always someone more skilled, more crafted, better educated, more creative, more focused, more driven, and with a better business plan than me. haha. and I am okay with that. I have always understood that i am not a rarity or a gift to the world for creativity… but I seriously just do what I love and I love what I do. and I LOVE to create, make things, and attempt to live out what God has created me to do.

This is our wedding album. Brian and I are a little more casual than some others… so we opted for a book printed by blurb.com. I really LOVE the print and how the cover and binding turned out. I really couldn’t be happier… it is exactly what i was hoping for. I designed the albums all by myself by downloading some of the specs and sizes off of the blurb site. Not all the pages are shown here… just some of them. Brian and I also bought this same album for his parents and my parents for christmas. THEY LOVED IT!! Sorry this post and photographs are visually too busy and I am showing WAY to many.. but i thought they were a little fun. I always love your thoughts and comments.
