I have known Jessica for years… we went to high school together and saw each other around campus! I am so excited that she is getting married in October to her love Logan. And from what I can tell they are the cutest couple ever. I am so stoked for them and I was REALLY excited to see her name in my inbox requesting a design for invitations. WOOHOO!! As you all know… I love design and creating. I dream about it, breath it,and I am really thankful to get to do this for a living… PLUS it makes it 100x better when I get to create designs for my family or friends. It has a really special feeling and excitement to it. I don’t know I can’t describe it.
Jessica sent me some inspiration for her rustic romantic themed wedding taking place in California. Her colors are brown, and cream, with bright pinks, and oranges for accents. I love that color scheme and Im excited to see her dream wedding take shape. She designed her own save the dates… HOW CUTE ARE THOSE!?!? Amazing.
I hope to do a little more extensive photoshoot with the invitations and I will post them to my portfolio website promisetangeman.com very soon. i just couldn’t help it… I wanted to show you here on the blog asap.

Taylor and Jason had the most amazing wedding I have been to in a long time. It was truly unique, beautiful, and FUN! Taylor and Jason went to Africa with Brian and I last August. It was a bonding experience getting to know them while working and serving along side of them. They got engaged a few days before the trip, so we got to hear all about their romantic experience, and the beginning stages of wedding planning. Taylor and Jason are kindred Spirits. They are both artists and photographers and very talented. I was honored to have been asked to design their wedding invitations (see them here), and photograph their wedding. PLUS they also borrowed my yellow china cabinet that I re-did as their cupcake holder. It was soooo cute. I didn’t include any photos of that… well because I already had so many photos in this post. It was sooo hard for me to choose which ones to incorporate in this post. They had so many unique little touches to their wedding. I dont know how they thought of everything.
Their wedding venue was KILLER and I know you will all ask where it is. It is called the Historic Icehouse in Phoenix Az. It is modern, shabby, roofless, and totally ROCKSTAR RAD!! Jason and Taylor even had their own photographs on display in the gallery section of the venue. How BOMB is that? They looked amazing.
You know those weddings that you have been too where everything LOOKS AMAZING and all is top notch, bling bling, daddy war-bucks, but you come away feeling like “ahhh that was okay I guess” because there was no heart, no spiritual dimension, no character? WELL THAT WAS NOT THIS WEDDING. After this wedding I came away refreshingly full. Full of hope, full of happiness, full of yummy food and gooey chocolate cupcakes, full of heart, and spiritually centered. It was a full package experience for the mind, body, and soul. I am really thankful that I was able to experience this day with Taylor and Jason. I hope this will be a day that we ALL remember.
P.S. Taylor… Please tell me where those yummy cupcakes came from?!?! They rocked my world.

A few weekends ago I got the opportunity to shoot Alex and Alyssa’s wedding at the Wigwam resort and Spa in Arizona. Starting out I knew it was going to be a really fun and memorable day because alot of friends were going to be there and Stephanie Fay was second shooting with me. OOO I was so lucky to have her. She seriously knows what she is doing when it comes to wedding photography. I usually get really nervous for weddings and it was so relaxing and calming to have her there. Some of these amazing shots were shot by her. I think we made a really fun team together.
Alex and Alyssa had such a unique and meaningful wedding. It is a wedding that I will remember for a long time. One of my favorite shots of the day is the one where the guys are all jumping up. SERIOUSLY!!! I know that shot can tend to be a little cliche…But we had to give it a try. The jumping image shown was the very first shot taken in that series. HAHA. All of the guys are in the entertainment industry and it totally showed in this photo. I was literally laughing out loud in amazement. They are all doing something different and unique and they are ALL in sync. WOW.
I also really loved the touch of the hanging flowers. I thought that was a really beautiful touch and it added a lot of dimension to the front by the alter. We captured a lot of fun photos in those before the wedding.
Alex and Alyssa’s wedding was not only a beautiful looking wedding on the outside, but everyone was beautiful on the inside. These were kindred spirits and you could feel the love and support around the room. I even felt so loved and welcomed there. I hope you enjoy getting a little glimpse into their special day. Any favorites?

A couple of days ago when I was photographing the rings at the wedding I was reminded of the physical representation of what a covenant means in marriage. As I was arranging the rings and photographing them, I thought about HOW COOL marriage really is. And I thought about the way I love my husband.
This was the second wedding that I have shot after getting married myself. As I photographed the wedding I felt like I was viewing everything through a different lens… maybe a more appreciative lens. I photographed things that had later became more important to me. Maybe I feel that the wedding the other day was more ALIVE with emotion because I have been through that same day before, in my own way.

The day after we got back from Las Vegas I shot a wedding at Wigwam Resort here is AZ. The bride and groom are sooo cute, fashionable, and beautiful people that are filled with genuine love with giving hearts. Alex and Alyssa are in the entertainment industry and so is their whole wedding party. So you can imagine that this was a fun filled wedding with a lot of personality and energy. Troy Grover, my brother-in-law is great friends with Alex and was also in the wedding. AND he set up this AWESOME photobooth at the reception. Stephanie and I jumped in for a few photos. haha.
I have WAY fun photos of this wedding coming soon. I am so excited to show you what Stephanie Fay and I captured that day. Stephanie Fay was the second shooter for the wedding and It was AMAZING to have her there. I absolutely love her work and she really inspired me throughout the day of. I LOVED these hanging flowers, I thought that they really were simple, cost effective, and they added a lot of dimension to the stage.
I have to tell you that I don’t take many weddings throughout the year because to be honest… weddings make me really nervous. I get really stressed with a lot of anxiety that I wont be able to capture the day In the most creative way and memorable way. But every time I get done with a wedding I am always sooo excited about the photos that I took and how everything came together. Having a second shooter there to help… REALLY relaxes me so much. Steph made the day really comfortable and easy to shoot. Steph-Thanks for ROCKING this wedding with me, I seriously had SOOO much fun! Hope you enjoy these photos.

Taylor and Jason’s wedding invitations are finished. Taylor and Jason are some of the most unique people i know. They are both photographers and lovers of art & people. They are getting married in an art museum type of venue where they will have photographs they have taken on display. How rad is that? I can’t wait to see the wedding in FULL action. I am so honored that they chose me to design their paper goods for their special day. It makes my heart so happy to be able to collaborate with people that have unique ideas and enjoy getting outside of “the box”.
Above is a couple of monograms that I have created for them along with the display of colors for the wedding. Below is a style board that I created for inspiration before I started designing. I took elements that I thought fit their venue and theme really well and created my own concoction of graphic elements and photos to fit their wedding perfectly. A good mix of vintage with modern art.
I love the bright colors they have chosen for their main colors. Click HERE to see the save the dates that i designed for them.

This is our wedding album. Brian and I are a little more casual than some others… so we opted for a book printed by blurb.com. I really LOVE the print and how the cover and binding turned out. I really couldn’t be happier… it is exactly what i was hoping for. I designed the albums all by myself by downloading some of the specs and sizes off of the blurb site. Not all the pages are shown here… just some of them. Brian and I also bought this same album for his parents and my parents for christmas. THEY LOVED IT!! Sorry this post and photographs are visually too busy and I am showing WAY to many.. but i thought they were a little fun. I always love your thoughts and comments.
