[...] I wanted the final piece to look like it was slightly retro, but also a loose style. So I chose to make the tail look like watercolor and allow it to bleed out of the lines of the drawing. Then for the body, I went with a color blocking approach to make it look more retro. I am really happy with the end result, but I am even more excited to see what ALL of our work looks like together. What a BRILLIANT idea!
I’m currently working towards opening an Etsy shop for my crocheted portraits, so unfortunately can’t participate, but just wanted to comment and applaude a fantastic project! Hopefully I can participate in the future ^__^!
